Mt. Merapi continues spewing hot ash, with the latest expulsion lasted more thant 75 minutes on Wednesday afternoon, Antara news agency reported.Yogyakarta Volcanology Research and Technological Development Agency reported that the volcano started spewing at 2:37 a.m. At the time of writing the expulsion has yet to stop.
The agency also recorded 38 expulsions between midnight Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
All monitoring officers on Merapi slopes have been ordered to leave their posts. The afternoon eruption was longer in duration than the deadly last Monday.( theJakartapost )
