The long wait is over and it's here! The new Apple Macbook Pro with Intel core i5 and i7 has finally been released and available at the Apple Mac Store from today. With so much speculation and rumors the past few weeks that today, 13th April was the day Apple was to release the latest Apple Macbook Pros..and it's all come true!

Everything looks the same on the outside, but things are certainly different on the inside. The new 2010 MacBook Pro has seen upgrades to its hard drive, processor, graphics and battery life – all of which make this the best model yet.

The Two 13-inch models offers a Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics and a choice of either a 250GB or 320GB Hard Drive. Prices here:

There are three versions of the 15-inch model; two come with an Intel Core i5, but offer different speeds. They both have 4GB of RAM but one has a 320GB hard drive and the other a 500GB. The starting price is £999. The other 15-inch MacBook pro comes with the new Intel Core i7, but offers the same hardware features as the other two starting price is £1,499.

Finally we have the 17-inch: 2.53GHz model. The base version of this model comes with an Intel Core i5, but can be upgraded. All other hardware is the same as the 15-inch models and the 8- to 9-hour battery life is sure to win over a few buyers. Starting price for this model is £1,899. If you want to make your new Macbook Pro even better, then why no consider upgrading to an SSD – offering greater performance and extended battery life.

So what does the new Apple Macbook Pro come with compare to older versions?

    New Apple Macbook Spec

Each MacBook Pro has a glass Multi-touch trackpad that now includes inertial scrolling. Each device has an LED back-lit display that can be viewed from wide angles. The 17 inch MacBook Pro has a higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and the 15 inch model has a resolution of 1680 x 1050 although this display is optional.

SSD’s are also optional whereby you can choose from a 128GB, 256GB or a 512GB solid state drive if required.

All MacBook Pros are available now over at the Apple store along with being available at authorised dealers. Full technical specs can be found over at Apple.

    Faster Processor

The MacBook Pro lineup starts with advanced Intel Core 2 Duo processors running at up to 2.66GHz. And things only get faster from there. The 15- and 17-inch models now feature the latest Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors — the fastest dual-core processors on the market — which reach Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.33GHz. With up to 4MB of shared L2 or L3 cache, MacBook Pro runs applications up to 50 percent faster than before

    Larger Hard Drive

Each MacBook Pro comes standard with a large hard drive offering up to 500GB of storage capacity,4 so there’s plenty of room for your photo libraries, video projects, and files. Or, for enhanced durability, you can order a solid-state drive with no moving parts. Choose 128GB, 256GB, or even 512GB. MacBook Pro also features ample high-speed 1066MHz DDR3 memory, with support for up to 8GB of RAM, so you can run more applications at once and quickly access your data and media. Configure your MacBook Pro now at the Apple Online Store

    Better battery life

The new energy-efficient architecture in every MacBook Pro, along with automatic graphics switching in the 15- and 17-inch models, gives you dramatically longer battery life. On a single charge, the battery in the new 13-inch MacBook Pro lasts up to 10 hours (8 to 9 hours on the 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro).1 And you’ll get up to 1000 full charge and discharge cycles — that’s nearly three times the lifespan of typical notebook batteries.2 Advanced chemistry and Adaptive Charging allow the battery to maintain charging capabilities longer and determine the optimal way to charge the battery’s cells. Because the battery lasts up to five years, MacBook Pro uses just one battery in the same time a typical notebook uses three. That makes for less waste. And that, in turn, makes for one environmentally friendly battery.

    Better Graphics

MacBook Pro gives you more options for high-performance graphics, starting with the new NVIDIA GeForce 320M integrated graphics processor in the 13-inch model. It’s up to 80 percent faster than the previous generation and is even more energy-efficient for everyday tasks like writing email and surfing the web.3

The new 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro models give you even more power for graphics-intensive 3D games and pro applications, and longer battery life for everyday tasks like checking email or surfing the web. Depending on which application you’re running, these models automatically switch between the blazingly fast discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M processor and power-efficient integrated Intel HD Graphics. So you don’t have to compromise performance for battery life — and vice versa.Via: 1
